If the most recent polling data reflects voters’ actions on the 8th, a victory for Trump in the states of Iowa (currently polling as a ‘toss up’) and in Colorado (currently polling Clinton +1) would see the reality TV star in the White House.
After weeks of a seemingly unassailable lead, the ‘shy Tory’ effect could easily steal this election from Clinton. I’m more than a little surprised this observation isn’t more obvious from this morning’s headlines.
I’ll say again, however, that whatever the deleterious effects on American society, a Trump presidency will be a less hawkish force in the international arena than a Clinton presidency. Casual observers repeatedly, and quite wrongly, assume the opposite.
